scavenge: Arty to reveal how big of an Jak fan i am

Last week i worked on an art of Jak with my character or fursona Scavenge Whitefang.
So, I tried very hard to create this, i hope the picture is good enough for you. The colors were done using Adobe Image Ready.
I'm not too great on creating Anima or human people, but all i can say is this is my best one upto date. =)

And for Jak lovers here's an banner that you can use, that i created:

scavenge: Newbe here

i've been recently playing Jak 2 a lot and now in Missions that revolve about Destroying 5 Hell Cat crewsers. I used my gun fireing weapons to shoot down one but still end up having my car explode.
Any help?
And also a huge Jak fan not Daxter =)

applescruffs85: Yes, I am a literature nerd....

Not sure how interesting you all will find this, but I thought it was. *shrug* And if it was brought up before, I do apologize.

Jak as a Romance Hero--placed behind the cut due to spoilersCollapse )

Phew. For those who could bear reading through all that, I'd like to eventually write about Sandover and Haven City as a pastoral setting and a utopia, respectively...that is, if you guys are interested to hear about it. :-) I just find it very amusing/interesting that the Jak games fit these archetypes so well.

Wow...I never realized how much I miss a good English/literature class. Weird that I like this stuff so much considering I'm majoring in engineering...lol.

This is a survey I recently wrote for those of you who are fanwriters. I just thought it'd be kinda fun, but if you don't want to take it, that's OK.

So I made two friends only banners featuring Jak (from Jak II) and Seem. But not both in the same banner...uh...
anyway, this is the first time I'm making anything but icons so any suggestions are great! Comments are wonderous and please credit if you use one. Thanks :)

thegreensage: Hey everyone!

Hey everyone. I'd like to introduce myself. I just joined. Actually, the only reason I made a live journal was to join this community. I stumbled across it last night when I did a search on Jak and Daxter icons. I borrowed a few for my Dead Journal. Don't worry; the creator was creditted. And thanks a ton! I love them.

applescruffs85: Hello, cherries!

Hey everyone...just found this community (and a few others), so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I've been a Jak & Daxter gamer for quite awhile...hmm...since the first game came out. I guess that would make it about two years? Whatever.

Well, I've played through all three games. My brother got me Jak III for my birthday back in November and I waited 'til winter break to play it so I could concentrate on school, but once I got home from college, I finished the game in five days. Heh.

About my gaming in general, I don't play a whole lot these days. Grew up with NES and Sega Genesis before we got PSOne and PS2. Before Jak & Daxter, my fave platform games were the three Spyro the Dragon games (yes, I realize there's more games now, but I hear that they aren't as good as the original three). I've also played Rayman: Revolution and the first Ratchet and Clank. GTA3 was fun, too.

So even though I finished Jak III back in December, I've had a resurgence of my fandom recently. I was gonna play all three games this summer, but due to where I'll be working, I will have neither TV nor PS2, so I'm doing my replay right now. My roommate is watching along as I play, and right now I think I'm around 70% done with Jak II. Having someone watch you play makes it so much more amusing. :-)

SpoilersCollapse )

Yeah, so I guess I'm just a typical fangirl of the series. Later I might try to do some fanart, time permitting. :-)
